Bike Share

at City Tower

Join and ride with our app.

How It Works

Enter the bike's number into the Zagster app to get your code.

Enter your code into the lockbox to access the
U-Lock key.

Assemble and place the
U-Lock into its holster or basket. Enjoy your ride!

Lock your bike to a City Tower Zagster station, end your ride in the app and close the lockbox firmly.

Meet the Bike

  • Adjustable seat height fits adult riders
  • Activate the front and rear lights at night
  • Keep the U-lock in the basket while you ride
  • Fenders and a chain guard keep you clean

Membership in the bike share program is available to all employees at City Tower.
While you are using a Zagster bike, you are free to ride it wherever you like. If you want to make a stop, you must lock the bike to a secure object (but never just lock the bike to itself).

Before you end your bike trip, you must return your bike to a City Tower Zagster station. Trips may never be ended unless the bike is already locked to a Zagster station. Do not leave a bike anywhere else unless you have an active trip on the bike. Riders may be held liable for replacement of lost bikes.

Nope, you cannot leave a Zagster bike locked anywhere other than a designated Zagster station unless you have an active trip on the bike. We LOVE that you like riding Zagster, but this is a bike sharing program for everyone. Please leave bikes where everyone can access them.
Only City Tower bike share members are allowed to check out bikes, and you may only check out one bike at a time. Everyone who rides a Zagster bike is required to have their own Zagster membership and to have signed our Rider Agreement. If you know someone else who wants to ride, just have them sign up . It's fast and super easy!

Please contact us right away with details on what's happening:

Then, return the bike to the nearest Zagster station. Once it's locked there, end your trip. We'll get the bike fixed up, but in the meantime you're free to start a ride on a new bike and get on your way.

  1. Don't panic.
  2. Refer to the troubleshooting tips below. Sometimes it simply takes another try.
  3. If all else fails, please call us at 202-999-3924.
  1. Check your key and make sure that it is not bent, or twisted, and the keyway is clear. Your key should insert all the way and turn 180 degrees smoothly.
  2. If the key isn't going in all the way, try turning the key back and forth a few times while pushing inward. Your key should insert fully and turn 180 degrees.
  3. If you cannot secure your bike, please call us at 202-999-3924 right away!

There are 2 primary reasons for why the lockbox won't close:

  1. Sometimes the key inside the lockbox can jam the lockbox lid, preventing it from closing. Make sure the key is placed into the slot above the keyreel, and then firmly press down on the lid to close it.
  2. When a lockbox lid is left open for a long time, the locking mechanism will extend and you will not be able to close the lid. Enter your code into the lockbox, just as you would if opening the box for the first time. Allow the mechanism to open, wait 10 seconds, and then firmly press the lid closed. Pull up on the lid to make sure it’s locked shut.
  3. If you cannot secure your bike, please call us at 202-999-3924 right away!

If you believe your Zagster bike has been stolen, immediately contact your local police department and building security to file theft reports.

You are obligated by your Rider Agreement to alert us as soon as possible in the event of any potential loss or theft of Zagster bikes. Call Zagster at 202-999-3924 and we’ll walk you through what to do. We’ll also email you an Incident Report that you’ll need to complete. You may be charged for the cost of replacing a lost or stolen bike.

Zagster strongly recommends that you wear a helmet while riding.
